Department of B.Sc Computer Science (Optional)

B.Sc. Computer Science (Optional) program was started in 2016 with the aim of providing quality education in Science. It is a three years degree graduation course with specialization in Computer Science. As the technology is changing day by day, it has impacted teaching-learning methodologies. In the field of research also, the department is continuously trying to update the teaching methods and techniques. The department invites industry experts to guide the students and tries to bridge the gap between academics and industry requirements. The department is continuously engaged in planning and executing the various activities.
          Computer Science is a broad field which encompasses all aspects of computers, including the design and application of both hardware and software. Career opportunities are diverse and are found in computer design, manufacturing, development, testing, transportation, communication, research, educational and management. This program is designed to give strong foundation in computer science and specialized knowledge of topics such as programming languages, Database Management System, Cyber security, Data structure etc.
          The department has requisite number of faculty members, striving to incorporate excellence in theory and practice. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, conferences, symposia and refresher courses to keep in pace with recent developments in the field of information technology. The main thrust of department is to provide better quality education as per industry standards and train the faculty in new technologies periodically to equip themselves in the present global scenario.
