Welcome to the Department of Statistics

Introduction

The Department of Statistics at Dattajirao Kadam Arts, Science, and Commerce College, Ichalkaranji, was originally established in 1977 as a joint department with Mathematics. In the academic year 2020-21, the Statistics section became an independent department. Our curriculum equips students with skills in advanced Excel, R-programming, and Python, fostering analytical thinking for real-world applications.

Purpose

Statistics, often referred to as the mathematical science of data, plays a critical role in processing numerical information for evidence-based decision-making. Our department focuses on applying statistical methods to experiments and surveys for meaningful insights in academia, industry, and research.
