Department of B.C.A

The department of B.C.A. was established in August 2008, as an academic centre for undergraduate studies in Commerce discipline with objective to provide technical skills and theoretical knowledge from which advanced career in a computer applications can be developed. The students from all streams are able to take admission for B.C.A. program. The duration of the program is 4 years which is divided into 8 semesters. As the NEP (New Education Policy) is implemented by Government of India in education system, the fourth year is optional.

In the fast growing technological world, the demand for IT professionals is like a boom in the market and B.C.A. (Bachelor of Computer Application)  as a bachelor degree program helps in building a strong foundation for the students to attain remarkable achievements in their career of computer field. Thus the B.C.A. program is basically designed to impart in depth knowledge in the field of computer application and information technology to the aspiring student for a better understanding of their practical applications and implementations.Students are motivated to take part in software development contests, project exhibitions, seminars, technical quiz, paper presentations, and programming competitions to get maximum practical exposure and also in co-curricular activities.

The department has requisite number of faculty members, striving to incorporate excellence in theory and practice. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, conferences, symposia and refresher courses to keep in pace with recent developments in the field of information technology. The main thrust of department is to provide better quality education as per industry standards and train the faculty in new technologies periodically to equip themselves in the present global scenario.
