Department Profile:

The Department of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) was established in the year June 2008, as an academic centre for undergraduate studies in Commerce discipline. The department has well-experienced, dedicated faculty members with different specializations. The first batch had 60 students as per the high demand of computer application students. The Department has an advanced laboratory with a total of 103 PCs of the latest configuration. The lab is also equipped with Printer, LCD Projector, Scanner and other peripherals. It has 12 different Software to teach different computer languages. The BCA Department is also involved in the providing Internet facility to students via a separate Laboratory with suitable facility as well as through Wi-Fi facility. The Department also helps in the maintenance of all computers in the college. Students are motivated to take part in software development contests, project exhibitions, seminars, technical quiz, paper presentations, and programming competitions to get maximum practical exposure and also in co-curricular activities.

Goal:

The goal of the department is to provide high quality undergraduate education in computer applications by enhancing the effective teaching methodologies and to prepare student with the skills that are necessary for the success in the placement opportunities.
