History of ISRO event has been organized by B.Sc. III Physics students on behalf of 100th Satellite launched by the "Indian Space Research Organization" (ISRO) dated 15th January 2018. ISRO is the space research laboratory of India. Before the establishment of ISRO, India was dependent on other countries like America, Japan, Russia, etc. for Rocket and its technology. Its main branch is at Trivandrum. In 2011, ISRO launched 20 satellites, and in Jan 2018 it launched 100th satellites, and it's a proud moment for India. “Chandrayan” and “Mangalyan” are IRSO’s best achievements, and the world has also appreciated them. On behalf of this occasion, Miss P. P. Bagawade madam demonstrated the satellite model and aware the students with the satellite construction and launching process and also demonstrated Mark and the elliptical motion of the satellite around it.

Alumina Interaction

M.Sc. enrolled Alumina (Miss Purva Nikam and Miss Priyanka Kadam) interaction with B.Sc. III students

The six numbers of students in the year 2016-17 of the Physics department are enrolled for M.Sc. in Physics. Department of Physics has organized M. Sc. enrolled alumina interaction for B.Sc. III students on 9th August 2017. The purpose of this interaction is to motivate graduate students for post-graduation study and to perceive higher education.

Students were so much inspired by this interaction and they were acquainted with the fact of today's competition for qualifying entrance examination and getting admission to higher education even. We teachers are always making efforts to inspire and motivate students for higher education. Still, due to this M.Sc. enrolled alumina interaction, they interrelate with real experience and their view towards their studies, careers, and future become more serious.

One Day Visit to "Shivaji University, Kolhapur"

Visited students are watching copies of the Constitution of India

Visit to USIC and CFC, Shivaji University, Kolhapur

FESEM instrument at PIFC, Department of Physics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur

Department of Physics has organized a one-day study tour for the B.Sc. III (Physics) students at Shivaji University, Kolhapur dated 5th December 2017. During this one-day tour, we visited the Department of Physics, various research laboratories like the electrochemical materials laboratory, thin films and material laboratory, etc., USIC, and Dr. Balasaheb Khardekar library. The Physics Instrument Facility Center (PIFC) is a department that was an attraction point for the students. There are so many research equipment for research like X-ray diffractometer, solar stimulator, contact angle measurement unit, and photoluminescence unit. FESEM etc. University Facility Center (USIC) was also visited where we observed a glass blowing unit and various units for repairing of instruments like furnaces, heaters with stirrers, refrigerators, CRO, etc.

Students have also visited the Dr. Balasaheb Khardekar library. Shivaji University is blessed with a huge reservoir of books and students were glad to see this. They also see the “Constitution of India” as the guide of our life in India. Students have also visited V. S. Khandekar Bhavan where the university has preserved memories of V. S. Khandekar who was a great Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India.
