Women Empowerment Cell
Introduction
The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of our college is a dedicated platform established to foster gender equality, ensure the safety and dignity of women and promote their holistic development. The cell works tirelessly to create an environment where women feel empowered, respected and valued as equal contributors to society.
Objectives
- Awareness: To spread awareness about women's rights, gender equality and social justice.
- Empowerment: To empower female students and staff by providing them with opportunities for personal, academic and professional growth.
- Safety: To ensure a safe and secure campus environment free from gender-based discrimination, harassment, or violence.
- Support: To provide a support system for addressing grievances and offering counseling when needed.
- Skill Development: To conduct workshops, seminars and training sessions that enhance leadership, entrepreneurship and self-reliance skills among women.
Activities and Initiatives
- Workshops and Seminars: Regular sessions on legal rights, self-defense, health and wellness and leadership development.
- Awareness Campaigns: Programs to promote gender sensitization and eliminate stereotypes.
- Skill Enhancement: Training in areas like digital literacy, financial independence and vocational skills.
- Celebration of Women’s Achievements: Recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women in various fields.
Impact
The Women Empowerment Cell has been instrumental in building confidence among female students and staff, encouraging them to break barriers and excel in their chosen fields. Through its initiatives, WEC has created a more inclusive, supportive and equitable campus culture.
